Koh
Sit how you want.
As someone who can never sit still, and always needs space to move around in their seat, I sought to create a chair that catered to these proprioceptive needs. I hope to empower the sitting experience with Koh, and let others like me sit how they want.

A Note Written by Myself, in Hindsight:
"This chair was a journey that lasted me over 6 weeks, with long days and long nights in both studio and the shop. From the initial sketching phase to joining the last piece, this process has been one that has taught me patience, dedication, and most importantly, my true love for design.
I can’t believe the time has finally come, and I am so proud to officially share Koh with you all. Koh is the lounge chair crafted to embrace various seating positions such as cross-legged sitting, in order to foster relaxation and mindfulness in the sitting experience. I created Koh as someone who always has a hard time sitting still in their chair, and wanted to make something that gave people the freedom to sit how they want to.
Going into this I had no prior woodworking experience, and I have definitely grown a new and profound appreciation for the craft. The most challenging aspect of this process however, was veneering. Every piece of sapele wood you see is plywood that has been veneered, which is an extremely long and tedious process. Though, I could not be more proud of the result, as it allowed me to create such a unique shape for this chair.
Thank you to absolutely everyone who has supported me through this whole process in one way or another. This was the hardest project I have ever done, and I am so thankful to all those who helped me through it. A special thanks to Claire Walsh, for all of our crazy adventures making our chairs, and for helping me take some photos."
